Sold Out..

The Mother's Day Collection has been sold out. Now I have to think of something for the Daddy's and feel as though the pressure is on! I won't be able to offer such a great deal as I did with this one, am thinking more along the lines of a contest. Keep checking back here so you don't miss out! session availability...

Just an update on what we have for springand summer...

May is booked full unless an itty bitty newborn because the just don't stay fresh for long! We can find a way to fit them in.

June...
Location sessions /, 8th, 19th and 22nd still have sessions available.
Boutique sessions. 2 or 3 spots available for the 10th

July...
4 sessions available during the weeks of the 9th and 16th only.

August...21st, 24th, 28th

Weekend sessions come available occasionally, please inquire
These sessions listed may take place during the early evening. It helps to avoid the midday harsh sun and heat and to have a better chance of including the entire family!


If you will be in the Boothbay Maine area this summer or know someone who is, I will be offering a limited number of sessions there. If you have never been it is worth the trip! A magical and wonderful place for families and little ones to just be themselves. Please inquire for dates and more information.

Soon I will post about fall sessions. Believe it or not I am already planning for Holiday card sessions. The time flies by and sessions book quickly so keep checking in. No sessions will be held for holiday cards in December, they must be completed by November.

Fascinating Creatures...

I have found a favorite new children's singer/songwriter. Frances England sings about childhood in a way that just makes you smile, laugh and be happy. Her lyrics are catchy, simple and true! Check out her website and take a listen. My favorite is "Sometimes", my son's is "Daddy-O" and my little girl can't keep herself from spinning round and round while listening to "Tricycle"!
Tomorrow I will give the girls at The Wise Willow a call to get this album in stock. Maybe I will find a good idea to get my blog contests started and have my first giveaway be this here CD...

emails...

Of course, when it rains it pours.

Just a quick update. My info@heatherbowesphotography.com emails are not working. Can send out but not receive. Seems to be since Friday early morning.

My boy and baby girl are fighting the awful stomach virus which seems to be making it's way around town so I am limiting my time responding to calls and fixing this email issue until everyone is on the mend.

new song...

I am a big fan of discovering new music artists. Have to watch that I don't get sidetracked from my work as I browse all the wonderful talent out there. If you haven't read my ABOUT page on my website you might not know that one thing I really wish I was good at was singing. It's pretty bad...even my son asks me to hush so he can hear the music and not me. Our whole family, one yr old Maggie included is pretty into music. My husband is known by his friends as the one to ask about new artists and music to be discovered. Any how... even though I have had so many people tell me how much they love the Sweet Sweet Baby song on my site I have decided to mix things up and share some of the new songs I have found. If you don't like it you can either turn the music off or change songs by clicking on the sound icon at the bottom right side of my site. What I plan on doing is adding a bit about the song and artist here on my blog when I add something new so if you like it you can find more work frm them and maybe even purchase it.

I was just backing up images from a session today and opened up this one first. I need to tackle a few things on my list before working on this session but couldn't help taking a closer look at this one (will share more when I can).
The first word which came to mind...

ADORE to love with one's entire heart and soul
(that is mom they are looking at...)
the love we have for our children and the trust they put in us just amazes me... wish time didn't pass us by so quickly, enjoy it, every single moment.

spring is here...

So nice to get outdoors and enjoy this beautiful weather! Seems to also be the time for everyone to start thinking about capturing their children in photographs. Just an update on sessions available for this month. Don't forget that it is also a perfect gift for Mother's or Father's day. Give me a call, I have plenty of great ideas! Photo book for the office, key chain for dad's car (and a free car wash), photo necklace and box of chocolates for Mom...

Just something a little different from me thanks to WRNR and Amos Lee. If you haven't listened to this artist's music I highly recommened it. He has such an amazing voice, and it was wonderful to hear him live.

ice storm...

Due to the forcast of another ice storm I have decided to postpone Madeleine Sittings for this morning. They are calling for up to an inch of freezing rain and snow for the morning until noon. I really really dislike having to cancel this morning but I would much rather all little ones stay snuggled up warm and cozy, safe and sound at home than be on the roads in icy weather. If it were just snow I would think otherwise.
Everyones session will be rescheduled, I will contact you to check what date works best for you. If you have not sent me your contract (with contact info) please call or email me.

back home...

After a wonderful trip to Colorado and then a detour to Maine to avoid the ice storm we are happy to be back home! I am catching up on returning emails and phone calls and will be delivering prints this week. Have a few to pick up from the framers...can't wait to see them all finished and ready to hang. It really is my favorite way to deliver prints to clients, sure they will be hung for display rather than sit in a box for months and months waiting to find that perfect frame! Something I am guilty of too.
