Just something a little different from me thanks to WRNR and Amos Lee. If you haven't listened to this artist's music I highly recommened it. He has such an amazing voice, and it was wonderful to hear him live.

ice storm...

Due to the forcast of another ice storm I have decided to postpone Madeleine Sittings for this morning. They are calling for up to an inch of freezing rain and snow for the morning until noon. I really really dislike having to cancel this morning but I would much rather all little ones stay snuggled up warm and cozy, safe and sound at home than be on the roads in icy weather. If it were just snow I would think otherwise.
Everyones session will be rescheduled, I will contact you to check what date works best for you. If you have not sent me your contract (with contact info) please call or email me.

The next few Madeleine Collection dates are available for booking. Please stop into Madeleine's on Maryland Avenue in downtown Annapolis to reserve your sitting with the $50 booking fee. Times available are 9:30, 10:00, 10:30, 11:00 and 11:30.

back home...

After a wonderful trip to Colorado and then a detour to Maine to avoid the ice storm we are happy to be back home! I am catching up on returning emails and phone calls and will be delivering prints this week. Have a few to pick up from the framers...can't wait to see them all finished and ready to hang. It really is my favorite way to deliver prints to clients, sure they will be hung for display rather than sit in a box for months and months waiting to find that perfect frame! Something I am guilty of too.

May and June session you are welcome to include Mom or Dad...but not both. If you would like to have a gift card to give to Mom or Dad I will be happy to create something for you. I know I have done self portraits with my children every mothers day as my own special mother's day gift to myself. Love them.

Mornings at Madeleine's...

I am very excited to announce the return of sittings at Madeleine's Boutique. For those that don't know this fabulous children's shop on Maryland Avenue in downtown Annapolis you must stop by for a visit. Be prepared to shop though because they are still having their half off sale on winter clothes. The most beautiful darling clothing around. I picked up my baby girls first walking shoes yesterday, couldn't believe the price! Must take photograph tomorrow to share...

About the sittings.
Sunday mornings...9:00-12:00
Sittings will be scheduled on the half hour giving each client about 25 minutes.
They will be once a month and I expect to fill up fast. These are great for those who would like a bit of beautiful custom portraiture without the investment of a full on location session. They are also wonderful to fill in those milestones or alternate with full sessions.
I will not charge more for more than one child. You may include siblings, cousins, best friends...whatever you like. It is important that you understand with these sessions the number of proofs are expected to be between 8-12 so if more than one child is in a single sitting I will work on getting them photographed together rather than individually. If you prefer individual portraits then booking two sittings is required. Also, due to space limitations no more than 3 children is suggested. Call me, we can talk.
Thinking ahead for Fathers Day and Mothers Day I will be suggesting a portrait with Mom or Dad. This would be a wonderful gift!!! (hint hint) These two months will be an exception to the children only rule for Madeleine's sessions.

Sessions will be $50
They will require a minimum order (collection) of $450.

Square, red, linen and filled with your favorite 20 images from your session. Yes, sure you may choose a different color but red for the month of love is my choice. These books are mini squares, 5x5 size with photographs printed directly on the pages, they fit perfect in your handbag. No more excuses for not having photographs for bragging!
